At Acid House Barcelona a new installation of the adidas Originals ‘ZX’ puts sensation before logic. Bouncy balls fill the space from top to bottom, keeping the ZX 2K Boost suspended by pressure. A squishy sensation makes comfort the top priority.

 

A new installation of ‘ZX 2K BOOST’ at Acid House Barcelona

We have teamed up with adidas originals before. For the first installation, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the adidas Superstar, using different magnetic forces to create a balancing effect where the Superstar product appeared to be “floating” in the space. See the first installation here.

For this second installation we decided to join forces with Raul Nieves and David Haro once again, to conceptualize and design an installation that demonstrates the oddly satisfying feeling of the ZX technology. Located in the Window Gallery area of the newly launched creative hub, Acid House Barcelona, we filled that space with large balls to recreate the ZX sensation. This unique display is enhanced by lighting technology created by Barcelona-based lighting designer Protopixel. Spreading 'ZX' sensation across digital platforms

We created a series of assets for adidas’s digital communication channels, in which we portrayed the new version of the ‘ZX’ ZX 2K BOOST along with the talent Gabriela Richardson and Rojuu, taking the feeling of oddly satisfying and weightlessness through their latest product. 

The assets spread were designed to catch people’s attention while introducing a new era of ‘ZX’. To present it, in their own equally fascinating storylines throughout the campaign, several techniques were used, showcasing the innovative design while creating a emblematic aesthetic for adidas. As a result, we achieved more than 25k in engagement.
